Sawley Bridge
II
Bridge, probably c.1800 with earlier remains. Sandstone ashlar.
3 segmental arches with triangular cutwaters, piers, string course,
and solid parapets with weathered copings. On the western side there
are outer chamfered arches around the voussoirs. The soffits of the
arches have straight joints which suggest that the bridge has been
widened.
