House, early-to-mid C19th. Pebbledashed with dressed limestone porch and
doorway, and slate roof. 2½ storeys. South front of 6 bays with 2 bays at
each side gabled with swept roofs projecting on purlin ends. Windows have
labels of square section, plain reveals and projecting sills. All are
sashed with margin lights except for the 2 right-hand windows on the ground
floor which are sashed. The central 2 bays are recessed with a porch of
2 octagonal piers with capitals and bases, 2 similar responds and chamfered
lintels. Inner doorway is flanked by 2 windows, all in plain limestone
surrounds. The east wall is of 4 bays with similar windows and a string
course which continues from the south wall. Bay 3 is recessed and bay 4
is gabled. The west wall has sashes of various descriptions. At the rear
are later extensions. Interior. Stone stair has swept handrail with iron
stick balusters and wrought iron infill. The upper floor has an oval well
with similar handrail, with a glazed conical skylight.
