Barn, originally built as a mill. Probably late C18th. Limestone rubble
and cobble with slate roof. M-roof with double gable to the road. Site
slopes, with 1st floor entrance from upper level at the rear, through wide
doorway with timber lintel and slated canopy. South wall has blocked
1st floor doorway with timber lintel and 2 doors and 3 windows with plain
reveals on the ground floor. The north wall has a later garage opening
with a door above on the 1st floor with a wooden lintel. The west wall,
facing the road, has 4 blocked window openings on each floor and 2 attic
openings. Interior. Roof has 2 spans with a solid wall between. Trusses
are hardwood, with some replacement. All have tie beams, some have high
collars, and some have queen struts.
