House, 1705. Painted brick with sandstone dressings and slate roof. T-plan.
2 storeys with attics. 6 bays, with plinth. Windows of 2 lights, rebated and
chamfered with mullions. Continuous cyma-moulded drip course over ground
floor. Above 1st floor windows is a brick string course. The door has a
architrave with '17 TSE 05' inscribed on the frieze, and a cyma cornice.
Gables have copings with kneelers. Chimneys between bays one and two and on
right-hand gable. The right-hand gable wall has 2 attic windows with plain
brick reveals. The left-hand gable wall has a 2-light mullioned attic window.
Openings in the right-hand (east) wall of the rear wing include a cross window
lighting the stair. Interior has an open-well stair with closed string,
square newels, turned balusters and moulded handrail. In the attic over the
front part of the house are 2 trusses with crucks re-used as principals.
