Taken 04/06/2024 from the South. Chap who was cutting the grass told me of the history, built by Rev Jonathan Whiston, who moved away from Smarden as his parishioners there were too promiscuous. It Became a hotel, run by the Publican of The Bull, and after that a care home. Currently a home for Adults with learning difficulties, one of whom waved to me from a window , I waved back.
