House. C17, part rebuilt C19, repair work 1986. Timber frame
with whitewashed brick and rendered rubble stone panels, on rubble stone base.
Gable walls are mostly rebuilt in brick. Plain tile roof, small rebuilt brick
chimney shafts. T-plan, with gabled cross wing projecting to right. 2 storeys
and attic; single bay wing to left, 2-bay cross wing to right. Remains of
barred wooden casements, some boarded up with metal sheeting. Front windows are
of 3 lights, the gabled right bay also with single attic light and flush-
panelled top-lit door. Right side has 2-light casements to far bay. At far end
of right wing is a C18-C19 extension with rubble stone ground floor, brick
above, and slate roof. Range of outbuildings beyond, converted to house 1980s,
are not of architectural special interest.
