House. 1829 for Matthew Campbell, purveyor to the East India
College. Stucco with yellow stock brick outbuildings on right.
Slate roofs. Glass roofed verandah along left hand side.
Double-pile, double-fronted plan. 2-storeys house with gabled
front range facing road and hipped rear wing. Symmetrical 3
window front with central 4-panel door and unusual window
proportions. Sash windows with 3/6 panes. A picturesque early
C19 stucco house set back from road. (Matthews (1959) 160).
Forms a group with its railings and garden gate.
