Former public house. 1690 inscribed on door surround but with
later additions and alterations. Hammer-dressed stone with
slate roof. T-shaped plan with a total of four bays and two
storeys. Quoins. The original house (bays 2 and 3) has a
door with moulded surround, shouldered lintel (or quasi-
arch) and C20 porch flanked by 4-light double-chamfered
windows on each floor, those on the ground floor having been
increased in height and having hoodmoulds. Bay 1 has a 3
and 4-light window and a door with dressed surround. Bay 4
(head of T) has a canted bay window and small light on the
upper floor with an arched lintel. Coped gables. Right
return rendered. Rear is largely obscured by later lean-to
extensions but 2, 3 and 4-light mullioned windows remain.
Ridge and gable chimney stacks. Interior has chamfered
beams and a fireplace with cyma-moulded surround and
segmental arch with dropped keystone.
