Barn and shippon incorporating a former house. "TBIB 1689"
(Thomas Bradbury) on datestone although much of the barn is
of early C18 and parts of 1792. Hammer-dressed watershot
stone with corrugated metal roof. 2-bay 2-storey former
house at the east of a long range. Quoins. The former house
has 3 and 2-light ground floor windows and 3-light first
floor windows all with recessed cavetto-moulded mullions. A
hay door, which is only 1 of 3, has been inserted in the
ground floor and like the others has a corbelled lintel. The
right gable has two similar 2-light windows and 2 arched
lights at attic level. The other gable, now an internal wall
has an unusual paired arched light. The rear is obscured by
a later parallel range, itself of 2 builds, which has 4, 2
and 3-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion windows. The
barn also has quoins, a door with dressed surround between
the 2 hay doors, a loft hatch, small pigeon-cote, kneelers
and a later lean-to addition against left gable which has an
arched light at attic level. The 2 hay doors have opposed
doors on the rear; one with segmental-arched head, the other
with dressed surround. Interior retains one early king-post
roof truss with curved struts and carpenters marks.
