3 cottages and public house, now public house and
restaurant. "JMA 1781" on datestone, the cottages of a
similar date but additions to rear of C19 and C20. Coursed
rubble, hammer-dressed stone, brick C19 addition and
graduated stone slate and slate roofs. 3-bay 3-storey
cottages, 2-bay 2-storey original pub and 2-storey brick
wing to rear. The pub has C19 window openings on the ground
floor, splayed quoins of the same date, 2 flat-faced stone
mullion windows on the first floor, 2 gargoyle-like
features, 9 roundel features and a gable stack. The right
gable has similar roundels and a C20 porch. Each of the 3
former cottages has a blocked door with carved stone panel
above, 3-light flat-faced stone mullion window to each floor
in bay one and 4-light similar to each floor in the other
bays. Interior much altered.
