Terrace house. Probably of late C.17 origin with early C.18 refurbishment
and later alterations. Painted brick, slate roof. 3 storeys and dormered
mansard. 3 windows wide. Ground floor altered mid C.20 but retains
elements of early C.19 wooden shop front and square headed house doorway to
right with panelled door and fanlight. Upper floors have recessed sashes,
some with glazing bars, under flat gauged arches (red brick beneath paint).
Stone plat bands to 1st and 2nd floors, parapet with coping. Surviving
interior features include early C.18 dog leg turned baluster staircase,
cornices etc. Part of Nicholas Barbon's original Gerrard Street
development, begun 1677.
