House. c.1830. Yellow brick in Flemish bond with stucco dressings. Welsh slate
hipped roof. 2 storeys and basement, 3 bays with recessed entrance bay to
right. Stucco basement. Square stucco Porch approached by railed steps contains
panelled door with fanlight. Ground floor band. Elliptical-arched recesses with
stucco impost blocks contain sash windows. Iron balcony. 4-pane sashes above.
Overhanging roof. Railed basement. Blue plaque commemorating Sir Joseph William
Bazalgette (1819 - 1891),the civil engineer.
