Circa 1765. By Stuart. Drum-shaped structure with engaged Corinthian columns
and domed top surmounted by a gilded cauldron beacon and stand (derived from the
tripod) with gilded scrolls and dolphin supporters. Based on the Choragic
Monument of Lysicrates, called the Lanthorn of Demosthenes. Recently well
restored.

Grade II* shall be amended be read Grade I.
