Circa 1765. Commemorating Admiral Anson and his wife. A copy by Stuart
of Hadrian's Arch at Athens, Above the arch is an additional structure with
busts of the Admiral and his wife flanking a central naval trophy by
Scheemakers. In the spandrels of the arch are medallions of naval
significance.
