Inscription translated as 'By the grace and compassion of God, here lie the bodies of Nicholas Carrew, Esquire, and sometime lord of the manor, Isabel, his wife, and Thomas, their son; that very Nicholas, old and full of days, rests in peace the fourth day of the month: of September in the year of our Lord 1432'

Shields are for Carew 'or three lions passant sable' & de la Mare 'gules, three Catherine wheels 2 & 1 argent'
