Parish church. Nave of C12 origins; south aisle late C13; west tower and chancel C15;
south porch C16. Restored in 1929 by Charles C Winmill. Rubblestone and C16 brick
partly rendered; plain tile steeply pitched roof to eaves. Three-bay aisled nave
without clerestory, slightly lower chancel. Western tower. Perpendicular window
tracery, 3-light to nave, 2-light to chancel, with 3-light east window. Interior
with pointed arches to arcade on round piers. Early C20 king post roof. Several
sculpted wall monuments in chancel, C16 and later, to Heathcoate, Legh and other
families.
