Water Turbine House and sluice, built in 1891 to house two turbine
engines which were placed side by side. Plinth of brick in flemish
bond, with brick and concrete to sluice; box framing above with
painted render infill panels; decorative framing to gable ends. Roof
of tile with swept eaves and exposed rafter ends; barge boards to
gable ends. Two and three-light casement windows, flat arched. Gable
end to sluice gate, the machinery of which is of an early C20 date,
oversailing and carried on wood brackets. Low utility shed facing
pumping station is of late C20 date and specifically excluded. Forms
a group with the Pumping Station to the southwest.
