Former school, now village hall. 1870. Red brick with blue
brick bands and ashlar and terracotta dressings, patterned slate
roof with raised stone coped gables and moulded kneelers, single
wall stack to rear. Single storey 3 bay front, central bay
slightly projecting and gabled, with plinth and 2 moulded brick
eaves courses. Central 2 light window with plate tracery and
quatrefoil over, set in a pointed arch. Above is a cross in blue
brick. Central bay is flanked by single 2 light windows with
shaped heads. All windows are timber casements. To left a lower
single bay porch with pent roof, planked C19 door, decorative
iron hinges and shaped surround with polychromatic relieving arch
and blue brick band. In the lintel is the inscribed date "1870".
