Pair of semi-detached houses, now school offices. c1800.
Reddish-orange brick in Flemish bond with dark red window
arches; stone sills and cornice; slate roof and central brick
stack with oversailing course and pots. Built as single
design. 3 storeys, 2 first-floor windows with single-storey
outshuts to rear. Plinth. Ground and first floors have 8/8
sashes; second floor has 4/4 sashes; all in plain reveals and
with flat arches of gauged brick and sills. Entrances to
returns (alike): 6-panel doors, the upper panels raised and
fielded, the lower panels flush beaded; 3-pane overlights.
Returns have 6/6 sash to first floor and casement windows in
gable. Outshuts have 8/8 sashes.
INTERIORS: moulded cornicing and original joinery, including
panelled doors in moulded architraves; open-well staircase
with stick balusters, fret-cut brackets and swept newel.
