1-11-66 II

House, formerly rectory, c1790, possibly designed by T.Robinson.
Rendered red brick, ashlar dressings, hipped pantiled roof, 2
wall stacks. Block of 5 by 3 bays and 2 storeys. Garden front
has first and second floor sill bands as well as a broader first
floor band, advanced 3 central bays, surmounted by dentillated
cornice and pediment containing a circular lunette window and
flanked by a parapet having balustraded openings. Central
panelled door with traceried fanlight, dentillated cornice and
pediment and flanked by half engaged columns. Beyond to each
side are pairs of glazing bar sashes. To first floor is a
central glazing bar sash in a shouldered stucco surround which
is flanked by pairs of glazing bar sashes in plain openings.
The right front projects slightly, and the interior is much
altered, though the original staircase and a chimney piece
survive.
