Parish Church of St James

A Grade I Listed Building in Louth, Lincolnshire

"The Sudbury Hatch".

Uploader's Comments

Presented by Thomas Sudbury in 1503, the medallions on the doors represent Henry VII and Elizabeth of York, with the crowned Tudor Rose in between. A hutch would have provided safekeeping for valuables.
