Pair of estate cottages. c.1840. Coursed and banded limestone
rubble, ashlar quoins and dressings, Collyweston slate roof,
kneelers and decorated verges. Single ridge and wall stacks with
moulded ashlar cornices. T-plan. 2 storey, 3 bay front, left
hand bays are gabled and the left hand-most is advanced. Off-
centre planked door with Gothic ironmongery covered by steeply
gabled Collyweston slate porch with pierced bargeboard having
wooden brackets and full height side walls with narrow lights.
To left a 3 and a single light window and to first floor a pair
of 2 light windows. All windows have chamfered surrounds and
mullions. To the left hand gable is a square terracotta plaque
with chamfered surround bearing the Bertie crest. To the left
hand side is a further steeply gabled porch.
