Public house. 1665, in Fen Artisan Mannerist style, altered C19
and C20. Red brick in English bond, rendered, with concrete
tiled roof and 2 projecting gabled stacks. 2 storey plus garret,
3 bay front with plinth, rusticated quoins and gable bands, the
centre bay advanced and gabled. Central bow window flanked by
single 2 light glazing bar casements and also to left a C20
planked door. To first floor are 3 similar windows, all openings
have segmental heads. In the gable a stone plaque inscribed
"John Drury 1665", with above a gable pinnacle. To left of front
an advanced single storey service block with glazing bar
casement. On the right hand gable are projecting bands, one over
a vanished opening. Interior retains some chamfered and stopped
beams and original oak pegged roof beneath later C20 roof.
