House. Mid C18, altered and extended C19 and late C20.
MATERIALS: red brick in Flemish bond with hipped old tile
roof.
PLAN: originally 4 cell, central staircase plan, now with
staircase and entrance moved and with extensions at rear and
sides.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, attics and basement with brick cornice,
plain parapet with stone coping continued round hipped gable
ends. 2 chimneys with clay pots on older section. C20 urn
finials on corners of parapet. C18 sash windows with glazing
bars, stone sills and gauged brick arches with white
keystones. Former entrance front, north-east, symmetrical.
3-bays. Part glazed central door with moulded architrave,
frieze with mask and break front cornice hood on console
brackets. 4 oval plaques with radial fluting at first floor
level. 2 storey, one bay C19 extensions set back at sides.
INTERIOR: C18 dog-leg staircase with column on vase balusters,
closed string with moulded tread ends. Cast iron fireplace in
2 bedrooms with marble inset, egg-and-dart ornament.
