Dated 1760 on the chimneystack of the west front and built as the Officers Quarters
of tie Folkestone Battery. 2 storeys and attics stuccoed. Old tiled roof with
2 dormers. 5 sashes with glazing bars intact on the lst floor only. Modern
windows and porch on tne ground floor. Left side elevation is of stone with
flint galleting and outside chimneystack. A brass plate on the door records
that John Kinnisburgh (1743-1820) Master Gunner, lived there from 1800 till 1820.
Early C19 brick powder store connected to the house.

Nos 26 to 40 (even) form a group with The Battery, Statue in grounds of The Battery and
The Globe Inn.
