House, now part of school. 1596 with later additions to rear.
Timber framed, rendered, with plain tile roof. Lobby entry
plan. 2 storeys and attics. Symmetrical facade. Right and
left gable ends slightly jettied at eaves. 2 gabled dormers
rising from eaves to front, very slightly jettied, on moulded
brackets, at eaves of house, and again at eaves of dormer.
Moulded bargeboards and carved pendant to each gable. Central
corbelled and filletted brick ridge stack. Regular
fenestration of one 3-light wood mullion window to each gable.
2-storey canted bay beneath each gable of front elevation, with
3-light Ipswich window to each floor. 2-storey bay window on
scrolled brackets to right gable end. Central projecting
2-storey porch, also with moulded bargeboard and pendant.
Ipswich window to first floor. Ground floor enclosed except
for frieze of turned balusters immediately under first floor
on each side. Door of 2 broad panels. C19 rear additions
