An imposing early C19 stucco block on an island site at the west end of East Street.
North front is slightly curved and treated with pilasters and bands. Moulded cornice
and parapet. Rounded ends to front, that to the east forming a good 4 storey bow.
Delicate wrought-iron balcony returned round curved end, supported on brackets
above shop window to No 6. 10 sash windows, mostly with glazing bars. Later shop
fronts.

No 1A Billet Street, No 66, the County Hotel, the Brendon Bar, and No "8"
East Street, form an important group with the listed buildings in Cheapside,
Fore Street and the Parade.
