Previously known as No "40" but with the number "8" over entrance. In the alley
behind Cheapside and adjoining the Brendon Bar. 3 storey 2 window painted brick
front, probably C18. Hipped old tile roof. Sashes in painted reveals, glazing
bars. Good ground floor bow. Large round headed archway to left. Central doorway
with architrave surround. 6-panel door up 5 steps.
No 1A Billet Street, No 66 The County Hotel, the Brendon Bar and No "8ยจ East Street,
form an important group with the listed buildings in Cheapside, Fore Street and the
Parade.
