Town house. Late C18 refronting of earlier C18 building: C17 cottage attached to
rear. Header bond grey brick with red brick quoins and dressings; gabled C20
tile roof: brick end stacks. U-plan with 2 rear wings. 3 storeys. 3-window
range. C20 doors and flanking shop windows: plank door to central passage.
Gauged brick flat arches over horned 6- and 4-pane sashes; dentilled eaves over
horned second-floor sashes except late C18 six-pane sash to left. Late C18
two-storey rear left wing; of Flemish bond brick with gabled old tile roof and
brick ridge stack, plank door and 2-light iron casement. C17 wing of 2 storeys.
2-bay range to rear right: of square timber framing clad in brick to front and
right, with timber framed left outshut and gabled old tile roof; C20 door,
2-light iron casement and one leaded light to left. Interior not inspected but
likely to be of interest.
