Entrance gates, gate piers and railings, 100 metres North North-East of Church of Saint Michael

Gates, gate piers and railings on boundary wall. Early C19. Ham stone piers and walls; wrot iron gates and railings.
Central pair of gate piers 650 mm square and almost 3 metres high, with chamfered plinth and slightly projecting
moulded cap; heavy ornamented gates about 3.6 metres wide. Side piers 450 metres square and 2 metres high, 1.7 metres
away from main piers, to same design; double pedestrian gates on East side and railing infill to West. Railings on
ashlar wall base, wall about 850 mm high, railings 700 mm high with skirted dianond spear tops; on double curve sweep
of about 7.5 metres total length. Of great value in setting of Church, (qv) Manor (qv) and Almshouses (qv), linking in
with railings to the Almshouses (qv).
