Entrance Gate Piers and West Boundary wall to Limington House

GV II

Gate Piers and boundary wall. Probably late C18. Local stone cut,
squared and coursed, with Ham stone piers. Wall approximately 1.6 metres
high including thin copings, sweeping into gate piers, which are square
on plan, 2 metres high, with incised decoration and heavy tops with ball
finials. The walls and gateway dominate the main corner in the village
and also enhance the setting of the Church of St Mary (qv).
