Chest Tomb. Probably C17. Local stone; base buried, plain slab sides; heavy flat top with angled coving; the whole
being an unpointed wedge plan shape, not rectangular. No inscriptions visible on weathered flanks, but at the thinner
West end a probably later inscription reads 'Here lyeth the/body of Richard/ Hoakens he/dyed/ocl F ye 9 1760 AGED
72/years'.
