Lodge. 1826 on datestone in gable. Rendered brick, plain tile roof with
coped stone verges and pyramidal capped angle piers. Small rectangular
gabled block with flanking single-storey lean-to ranges to front; Gothic
Revival style. 2 storeys to main block, toothed eaves cornices; 4 cast-
iron Gothic casements to front with moulded labels, 2 to each side of
central entrance; one of 3 lights to centre above; door has applied
intersecting Gothic tracery and, with the inner windows to left and right,
is covered by a shallow pedimented projecting wooden portico, supported
on 4 cast-iron columns; central rendered rectangular ridge stack with
serrated sides and moulded capping, an important element of the design.
Netley Lodge stands at the principal entrance to Netley Hall (q.v.).
