Grotto approx. 35 metres to north-west of Woodlands Farmhouse

Grotto. Probably late C18. Dressed breccia and red sandstone.
Covered by earth mound at rear. Round-arched entrance with voussoirs and
shell-enriched imposts, flanking lancet-type openings, and parapeted gable
with round-arched opening in apex. Semi-circular domed interior with
remains of shell decoration and a continuous bench with diagonally-laid
rustic backing to wall behind. The grotto stands in the immediate grounds
of Woodlands Farmhouse (q.v.).
