Farmhouse. Late C18 incorporating probably C16 or C17 core, and mid to late C19 alterations and additions. Coursed brick on coursed sandstone rubble; coursed grey sandstone rubble with red brick dressings and partly rendered; incorporating timber framed core; plain tile roofs. T-plan; three room house with C19 wing at rear. Three storeys with one storey and attic wing.
South east front: toothed brick eaves cornice; brick ridge stack off-centre to left and external brick end stack to right. Four bays. Mainly mid to late C19 segmental-headed three-light wooden casements except for second floor two-light wooden casements, first floor two-light segmental-headed casement in second bay from right, and blind windows to first and ground floors in left-hand bay; basement window to right; C20 glazed door in second bay from right and C19 gabled brick porch with segmental archway. Left-hand end wall has been rebuilt in late C19 brick and partly rendered. Gabled eaves dormer to rear wing.
Interior not inspected but noted as having some C16 or C17 features including central ground floor ceiling frame with chamfered intersecting beams and chamfered joists with ogee stops, and large open fireplace with chamfered lintel.
