Planting stone. c.1624. Limestone ashlar. Rectangular block with moulded
head, on plinth with inscription, "This wood was planted by Sir William
Spencer Knight of the Bathe in the year of our Lord 1624" has Spencer coat of
arms above. Inscription on the reverse "Up and bee doing and God will
prosper". Enclosed by railings with spikes.
