Farmhouse. Mid-C17 with later additions and alterations. Mixed roughly coursed
limestone and marlstone rubble; concrete tile roof with coped verges and gabled
finials to gable ends. 2-unit plan. 2 storeys and attic. Chamfered mullion
windows with dripstones to either side of roughly central entrance, 3-light to
first floor and 2-light to ground floor left, ground floor right replaced by
small C19 casement. Two C20 gabled dormers in roof slope. C20 gabled porch with
boarded outer door conceals plank door with strap hinges. Integral end stacks,
left with red brick base and stone shaft, right paired and rebated with moulded
dripstones and capping. Back wall has 4-light mullion window to left; 3-light
mullion window on each floor to right, all mullioned windows with dripstones.
Interior. Cross beams to ground-floor rooms, left boxed, right with stepped ogee
stops. Winder staircase from first floor to attic. Double-purlin cambered collar
truss roof in 3 bays with curved principal rafters. Single-storey C19 addition
projecting to right and 2-storey brick addition attached to left gable end are
not of special architectural interest.
