Pair of cottages, now one. Late C17 or early C18, with some probably early C20
alterations. Coursed limestone rubble with stone slate roof. Three-unit plan.
Two storeys, lower to right. South-east front: dressed stone ridge stack
off-centre to left and integral dressed stone end stacks, with offsets and
copings. Five first-floor windows and 4 ground-floor windows; probably early C20
two-light leaded wooden-framed metal casements with stone cills, those to ground
floor with segmental-arched stone cills. C20 glazed door with segmental-arched
stone head between first and second windows from left and boarded door with
segmental-arched stone head and lean-to porch between second and third windows
from left. Interior: left-hand ground-floor room with chamfered spine bean,
rebuilt stone fireplace incorporating old chamfered wooden lintel with bar
stops, and remodelled semi-circular winder stair to rear of stack. Central
ground-floor room with chamfered spine beam and rebuilt fireplace with old
wooden lintel. Right-hand ground-floor room with chamfered spine beam and
rebuilt fireplace incorporating old chamfered wooden lintel with ogee stops.
