'que fuit sicca nutrix dno Regi Henrico sexto'; Matilda's service was highly valued & she was later admitted to co-fraternity of St Albans Abbey. She died early 1448, her executors included queen's secretary Nicholas Caraunt & her attorney Robert Tanfield.
