Farmhouse. Early C17 and later, much altered. Red brick, partly colourwashed.
Steeply-pitched pantile roof. Two storeys and attic. Main facade to east:
irregular fenestration of 2, 3 and 4-light C20 casements, square brick
dripmoulds over doorway and northern ground floor window. Doorway off-centre
to north side. Segmental heads to openings south of doorway. Crow-stepped
north gable with later internal stack; two 2-light casements at each floor
level. Central ground floor opening in gable with dripmould, opening blocked
by later fireplace. Internal stack at south gable, axial stack off-centre
to north. South gable has ground floor lean-to, small attic casement and
parapet with tumbling-in. 1½ storey catslide to rear with C20 attic dormers.
Interior: has good staircase c.1600, square-section carved balusters, square
newels and ½ newels with simple banded finials. Ground floor tie and bridging
beams with barred ogee stops to chamfers with foliage decoration.
