Hill Farmhouse
II

Early C18 L plan Lobby Entrance house with off-centre axial stack and gable
end stack. Brick with pantiled roof. 2 storeys and attic. Originally of
4 bays with tall segmental arched window openings now blocked. At present
of 3 bays with 3-light casements beneath skewback arches with cambered
soffits. Blocked oval windows in gable ends. 2 course plat-band. Shaped
eaves sprockets. One gabled dormer to rear. Entrance in original
position into surviving lobby against stack. A projecting straight stair
behind stack probably C19. Service stair against gable end. C18 fitted
corner cupboard with shaped shelves and panelled doors. Roofs steeply
pitched with buttpurlins, collars, ties and ridge boards.
