Parish church. Medieval and later. Flint with grey and red brick dressings.
Roofs of slate and pantile. West tower,nave, chancel. Unbuttressed tower
of 3 stages. Iron tie to north face,repairs in grey brick below. South
window a lancet; slit opening to west face of ringing chamber; 2 centred
brick arched bell-opening under stone hood mould; plain parapet. 3 bay
buttressed nave with diagonal buttresses; one north buttress repaired with
brick. Doorways to first bay to north and south under hood moulds. 2 3-
light panel tracery windows to north and south. Slate roof. Buttressed
chancel of 2 bays with diagonal buttresses; to south a priest's door and
one 2-light window with re-used pieces of tracery. To north a lancet and
one Y-tracery window. East window early C19 rendered tracery. Slate roof.
Interior. Arch-braced roof with plain ashlaring with heads on stone corbels.
Brick tower arch partly obscured by render of 1985, but having 6 orders with
chamfering, one hollow between. Doorway to rood stair with niche beside.
Chancel arch hacked. 2 rectangular niches to left of altar, piscina and
sidilia to right. C17 pulpit. Poppy-head bench ends. Octagonal font with
4 lion heads supporting the bowl.
