Farm house. Of 2 builds, perhaps c.1500 at east, c.1600 at west. Flint with
brick dressings, brick east and west gables, black glazed pantiled roof. 2
storeys with lean-to garderobe additions at east and west, 2 storey addition
and lean-to addition to north forming 'L' on plan, 5 window ground and first
floor. Ground floor at west 2 mid C20 casements, centre and east with 3 C19
wooden cross windows. First floor 5 2-light C19 casements, at west and centre
with partly surviving brick dressings of earlier openings. Off centre 6 panel
with architrave door inserted mid C20. Straight joint at east with brick quoins
marks division of 2 builds. East gable of brick with garderobe tower cut
back at ground floor with chamfered and skewed corner. First floor with single
light casement. Brick kneelers, coped parapet and two joined partly octagonal
stacks. West gable with one-2 light wooden mullioned window to light staircase
at north; lean-to garde robe; 2 gable level fire windows, one with wooden framed
2 light mullioned window. Brick kneeler, coped parapets and 2 octagonal stacks.
Rear to east with dovecote at eaves level. Interior: rebuilt mid C20
except for two gables. Roof with butt purlins, diagonal wind bracing and
collars. Brick stairs possibly survive at west under wooden treads.
