Early C20 public house. Stuccoed. Black-glazed pantile roof with paired eaves
brackets. 2 storeys. Corner site. 4 bays to Garden Street and 4 bays to New
Street. Sash windows with glazing bars in moulded shouldered architraves with
decorated key blocks. Garden Street elevation has 3 panels between 1st floor windows
with moulded architraves with broken pediments. Entablature over ground floor,
with plate glass bar windows and glazed doors with rectangular fanlights. Splayed
corner with bay on 1st floor rising to polygonal wooden turret with moulded cornice
and flat ogee dome. 2 bays of New Street elevation are 3 storeys with 2nd floor
windows through eaves with segmental pediments.
The Wellington Public House and Nos 31, 33 and 35 form a group.
