6/83 Normanton House

1.12,65 II

House. Late C18 with C19 alterations and extensions. Red brick,
some stucco. Hipped plain tile roof. 2 red brick stacks to the
rear. Modillion eaves cornice. Rusticated stucco quoin strips.
Painted brick plinth. Ground floor stucco sill band. Two and a
half storeys plus cellar, 3 bays. 2 cellar openings with wedge
lintels. Central doorway with panelled door, overlight,
rusticated stucco surround and keyblock. Either side are single
glazing bar sashes in similar surrounds. Above are 3 similar
sashes in painted stucco surrounds with raised keyblocks. On the
top floor are 3 similar smaller sashes and surrounds. Each of
the side walls have single C19 octagonal bays with similar eaves
cornice. To the rear is a two and a half storey, 2 bay wing with
brick coped gable and kneelers and further later C19 range.
