and The Mews

House and attached stable block, stable block now converted to
house. Mid C18 with late C18, C19 and C20 extensions and
alterations. House, render over red brick. Plain tile roof, the
left 2 bays being slate. Set on a plinth. Mid C18 range with
rendered coped gables with kneelers and 2 external gable stacks.
Dentil eaves. First and second floor bands. Two and a half
storeys, 2 bays. To the left is an early C19 2 storey, 2 bay wing
with external left gable stack, and to the right a lower late C18
2 storey, 2 bay wing with rendered coped right gable and bands
extending from the mid C18 build, the second floor band being
broken here by the first floor opening. Mid C18 build with 2
glazing bar sashes, to the left is a late C19 canted bay with
conical lead roof, single glazing bar sash and single similar
smaller sash in each side wall. To the right is a doorway with 6
fielded panel door, pilaster strips support a panelled frieze
with hood over. On the far right is a single glazing bar sash.
Above are 2 glazing bar sashes, to the left are 2 larger similar
sashes and to the right a single similar sash. On the top floor
are 2 similar smaller sashes. Attached to the right is a 2
storey, single bay lean-to with single fixed light and single
glazing bar sash above. To the rear left and slightly projecting
is a 2 storey, 3 bay wing with hipped plain tile roof. The re-
entrant angle between this and the main front has a single storey
splayed porch with 6 fielded panel door and decorative fanlight.
To the rear right is a red brick and pantile 2 storey wing
leading to a red brick and slate single storey wing. Projecting
from this is the mid C19 red brick former stable block, converted
C20, with hipped slate roof, single lateral red brick stacks and
single wooden louvred ridge glover. These all with altered
openings.
