One building. Probably C17 core with mid C19 red brick front.
Two storeys. Slate roof. Five windows, 1: 3: 1: centre breaks forward
slightly, stone flat arches with keystone, double hung sashes with
glazing bars. On ground floor, two similar windows and one six-light wood
mullion in moulded frame with small cornice, no glazing bars but frosted glass.
Two similar doors. Six fielded doors, glazed ornamental fanlights, keystone
and impost bands. Rendered plinth. Band between storeys with carved name.
Two tall chimneys at quoins and one central chimney. To rear - rough rendered
timber framing and gabled attics with C18 fenestration. (Preston "Christ's
Hospital" 1930).
