Farmhouse. Datestone at rear: BEB 1595, rebuilt early/mid C18. Uncoursed sarsen
rubble and coursed squared chalk; brick dressings: stone slate roof, brick
stacks. Central staircase plan. 2-storey 5-window range. Brick segmental arch
with central key over mid C19 4-panellled door with late C20 flat hood;
initials IR over front door. Brick segmental arches over mid C19 horned sashes;
brick band in Flemish bond. Gabled roof; mid C18 ridge stack and one late C19
rear lateral stack. Mid C19 dairy lean-to against rear right wall. Thatched 1
1/2 storey cottage against the right gable end. Sarsen and chalk rubble,
brought to course, chalk block quoins, thatched roof. 1 1/2 storeys. 2 window
range, brick segmental arch over late C19 plank door; brick segmental arches
over early C20 two-light casements. The main block incorporates an earlier
building with chalk quoins: brick quoins seem to have been built from floor
level to eaves when the house was heightened in the mid C19.
