Church. C12 nave; C13 chancel; C14 north aisle and chapel; C15 tower, south
aisle and chapel; c.1500 north and south porches. Knapped flint base; pebble
dash render, probably on stone to aisle, and nave clerestory; squared random
coursed limestone with areas of roughcast render to chancel; limestone ashlar to
tower; lead sheet roof to aisle and porch; roof to nave, chancel and tower not
visible. Mood porch on stone base to right of north aisle with ribbed and
studded door. 3 two-light reticulated tracery windows to aisle and chapel.
Lancet to chancel. 6 paired trefoil lancets with flat heads to clerestory.
Single lancet with flat head to clerestory right. Tower to right of 2 stages
with stair turret to left. Trefoil lancet to base of second stage. 2-light
Perpendicular tracery louvred opening to each side of top of tower. Battlemented
parapet. C20 reconstructed bellcote to left return. Right return: 3-light
Perpendicular tracery window with 2-centre arched head to base of tower. Rear:
wood porch on stone base to left. 3 two-light Perpendicular tracery windows with
2-centre arched heads to aisle and chapel. 6 paired trefoil lancets with flat
heads to clerestory. Single lancet with flat hood to clerestory left. Left
return: 3-light reticulated tracery window to right. 3-light Perpendicular
tracery window with 2-centre arched head to left. 5-light rectilinear tracery
window to centre. Interior: C19 reredos to chancel. Trefoil-topped piscina to
right of altar. Squinch to chapel to right. Arcades of 2 two-centred arches to
north and south chapels. Cusped piscina to south chapel, probably of re-used
window tracery. Trefoil piscina with gabled carving and corbelled bowl to north
chapel. C15 octagonal stone font on octagonal stone base with quatrefoil carving
to each side with rose or amorial shield to centre, to south aisle. C15
perpendicular roof with richly carved bosses and shields.
