House, now public house. Probably late C17/early C18. Regular coursed ironstone
rubble. Steeply pitched slate roof. Brick end stacks. Stone copings. 2 storeys
plus attic. 4-window range. L-plan. Central courtyard entrance has panelled
double doors, with wood lintel. Ground floor has 3 renewed windows with wood
lintels. First floor has three 3-light wood-mullioned windows with opening
casements. 2 gabled roof dormers with opening casements. Courtyard to rear has
cobblestones. Rear wing to right has window with fragmentary remains of a stone
mullion. C19 bow window. Interior: 4-centred arched fireplace in ground floor
bar.
